We are pleased to announce the 7th Croatian Geological Congress (7st HGK) which will be held in Poreč, from Monday, 2nd of October to Wednesday, 4st of October, 2023, at the Valamar Diamant & Residence Hotel.
The Croatian Geological Congress (HGK) is a national congress with international participation which main goal is gathering of scientists and experts who are engaged in geological research and to exchange their results and experience in the field of geology.

The Croatian Geological Congress has been held since 1995.
Modern conference halls of the Valamar Diamant Hotel in Poreč provide an ideal place for business meetings in a peaceful environment. After a successfully completed work, the participants can walk to the charismatic Poreč, a city rich in cultural and historical heritage in harmony with the natural beauty of Istria.
We invite you and your colleagues to submit your abstracts that will be presented at the Congress. The deadline for submitting abstracts is May 1st, 2023. Abstracts of papers can be submitted online on the official website of the congress. online na službenoj stranici kongresa.
One of the key tasks of the Croatian Geological Congress is the promotion of young researchers and the encouragement of top scientific research by awarding them, as well as awarding 10 scholarships to student volunteers (to cover the costs of accommodation and excursions to the 7th HGK).
Candidates for the award can be students or young researchers up to 35 years of age.
Applicants should attach a valid identification document to prove that they fall within the permitted age category. The scanned document must be attached under the name "Your initials_2023_ID" (eg the document of a participant named Marko Horvat will be called: MH_2023_ID).
Only accepted abstracts will be eligible for the award.
7th HGK is a great place to meet old and new friends and colleagues, discuss the problems of scientific research in the field of natural sciences, and create collaborations that will make geology a key science more visible in societies affected by climate change and natural disasters which search for new green energy sources.
